What Should You Be Asking and Answering?
Bet you have a lot of questions and wonder who to ask in order to get the answers and make a plan for your district. Here is a list of common questions and those to contact in your district that should have the answers. You should get the answers to these as a first step toward making a district plan (see 'Taking it Further' to the right). Feel free to make your own copy of these and share with others in your district. 

Where Can You Get More Professional Development?
  • Teacher Technology Training (T3): build the capacity of educators to effectively plan and implement online assessments (through TRIG)
  • Blended Learning in the Classroom: BLiC - focusing on instructional design that incorporates online learning instructional strategies (through REMC)
  • 21Things for Students, Teachers and iPads: focusing on enhancing instruction with 21st century tools (through REMC)
  • MACUL: Annual conference as well as resources such as MILearn.
  • Michigan Assessment Consortium Resources: Presentations and papers focused on assessment and student readiness 
  • MDE School Improvement: Resources for School Improvement, including regular conferences 
  • Michigan Career and College Readiness Portal: Resources focused on helping students become career and college ready
  • Contact your ISD and REMC for professional development offerings in your region
  • MDE's Resource List on the M-STEP provides a list of resources
Taking it Further: Need Help in Creating a Plan?
Here is a template to fill out that serves as a ‘district plan’ for next steps in getting ready for administering online assessments. Once you click on the link, choose 'File' and 'Create a Copy' so that you can make the plan your own and share with your district.
