Hello Year Two of M-STEP!
Since 1970, students have been assessed using the Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP). These assessments were taken using paper and pencil and provided limited feedback to students. The Michigan Department of Education is now in the second year of a new assessment system, the Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress (M-STEP). This assessment program is online and provides faster results.
M-STEP testing will begin in April 2016. Unlike MEAP, M-STEP assessments will be administered in the spring only. English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies will be assessed at different grade levels. Review the table below to see what assessments you will take this spring.
